I love this picture. You know why? I’m finding there really is an essential oil for everything I have looked up so far.
My introduction to essential oils, was through the use of lavender. I was talking with one of the ladies who uses essential oils, when I expressed my trouble with falling asleep. She told me, I should try lavender oil. Lavender is calming and will help me relax. She even gave me a sample pack to try. So, that evening I did.
You can apply lavender in many different ways. You can splash a little on your pillow/bedding. You can just sniff it from the bottle or diffuse it in a diffuser. You can apply it to your temples, or rub in on the bottom of your feet. You can put a few drops in your hand, rub it in, cup your hands and inhale deeply.
The lavender for me, helps me to relax enough to fall into a deep sleep. I recommend making sure you have at least 8 hours of sleep.
Here’s a great recipe to use on your linen’s before bedtime.
Lavender Bedtime Linen Spray

20 drops Lavender essential oil
1 Tbsp isopropyl alcohol (you could even use vodka or everclear)
Distilled water
4-ounce spray bottle —
Directions:
Add lavender and alcohol to spray bottle, use water to top it off
Shake and use as needed on sheets at bedtime.
Did you realize lavender can also be used to help heal a blister? Make sure the blister has no fluid underneath. Take a couple drops of lavender and put it on the blister 3 times a day. The lavender will seal the blister allowing it to heal. Did you burn your finger on that hot pan or stove? Grab your lavender. Again just place a few drops and let the cool healing begin.
Lavender is the perfect started oil, because it so versatile. Keep one in the kitchen cabinet and one in your medicine cabinet.
